Focus Fragmentation Meter

Is your brain being sliced into pieces by digital noise? Measure your current state of context switching.

What is Focus Fragmentation?

Focus Fragmentation occurs when your workday is broken into small, disconnected chunks of time. Every time you check an email notification or glance at a smartphone screen, your brain incurs a "switching cost." It takes an average of 23 minutes to return to a state of deep focus after an interruption.

Signs of Attention Residue

  • Feeling "busy" all day but finishing no major tasks.
  • The urge to refresh social media every few minutes.
  • High mental fatigue by mid-afternoon.
  • Low-quality output despite working long hours.

Ways to Lower Your Index

  • Batching: Check emails only twice a day.
  • Mono-tasking: One tab, one task, one hour.
  • Environment: Use "Do Not Disturb" modes on all devices.
  • Wind-down: Practice 5 minutes of silence between tasks.
